If the mission for your visit to Africa is birdwatching, Kidepo deserves a special place on your bucket list. The parks 475 recorded species include 56 raptors. Other specials include Karamoja apalis, Abyssinian roller, Chestnut weaver, Golden pipit, Pygmy falcon, Rufous chatterer, Abyssinian scimitarbill, D’Arnaud’s barbet, Black-breasted barbet, Fox kestrel, Greater kestrel, Jackson’s hornbill, Northern carmine bee-eater, Purple grenadier and White-bellied go-away bird among others.

Made of two ecotourism jungles which cover 825 square km (Kaniyo Pabidi and Busingiro), Budongo is ranked among Africa’s most compelling birdwatching destinations considering it is home to 360 recorded bird species inclusive of endemics. However, its number one attraction is without doubt the opportunity to track families of habituated chimpanzees. Nestled in the Southern part of Murchison, it is also one of the most extensive and ecologically diverse forests in tropical Africa, with 465 plant species recorded, inclusive of giant mahoganies that are as tall as 60m.

Away from eco-tourism, Uganda is a vibrant cultural hub with close to 60 different tribes, each of which has distinctive ways of life and traditions.

This tiny landlocked country further possesses a staggering wealth of natural assets: foremost amongst these is River Nile. Its white rapids spill out of Lake Victoria and offer world-class whitewater rafting.

Gorilla Tracking in Nkuringo Vs Buhoma Vs Ruhijja Vs Rushaga
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s 321sq km expanse is made of four wings, Rushaga, Ruhijja, Buhoma and Nkuringo. Beyond offering endearing gorilla tracking experiences, each of these zones is endowed with flora and fauna that have a wow effect on the senses.

This a true African wilderness of jaw dropping beauty with large concentrations of both predators and prey still enduring. Situated in distant Northern Eastern Uganda, it’s game drives and bush walks offer extraordinary diversity in its landscapes and wildlife. It boasts of 475 recorded bird species and 77 mammal species. On the part of predators, these include lions, leopards, cheetahs, bat eared fox, side striped jackals and black backed jackals. Otherwise, herbivores include giraffes, zebras, toppi, Uganda kobs, elands, klipspringers.

Found in Northern Uganda, Murchison is a multi-award winning national park with a diversity of sensational experiences and heart-racing adventures. There’s wildlife aplenty including 76 mammal species and 451 bird species.  It is Uganda’s biggest conservation area, covering an expanse of 3,840km2 which comprises of dense tropical forests, open Savannah with towering borassus palm trees, freshwater lakes, rolling his a s free flowing river network. The cherry on the cake is all the Big Five except for the rhino, but you can see them during your stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
